Yatta!! I can See the Light

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel finally.  Which means that for the most part my creative process of the work on Wurm's Blood is done.  I wrote up the last scene I was in charge of creating tonight.  However the evil thing is that now I need my co author to write up the fight scene, since he's been fixing mine up to the point of totally changing what I came up with for the most part with better ideas so I decided to let him write up the last fight scene of the book.  However I have to stick several prods into him several times to get him to work on these kind of things as he has his own projects and objectives/errands that need to be done. 

Also I still need him to edit all the scenes I just wrote up over the past couple of days.  Once that is done then I can start to get the work rolling again.  But the creating process for Wurm's Blood for the most part is done.  I am now in the editing phase of it or will be soon with luck.  Once I have edited it I will have it ready for sale, however long that takes. XD

Minor Update on Wurm's Blood

Only got 3 more scenes to write up and I am done with the initial draft of it.  Yay!!  Yatta! Bonzai!! Bonzai!  Well not much more to say so later.

Yet Another Wurm's Blood Update

Yatta!!! YAY!!  I finished Chapter 20, and I have decent start on the final chapter tonight.  Wurm's Blood should be done very soon...well the writing part of it.  I still need to edit two more times.  Once with the co-author then when I buy the proof.  After that I'll have a product for sale.  Wurm's Blood is about how ancient legends may not be all they seem.  I am not sure what I should do after I finish it. I am thinking I should write the short story set in the same world so I can get it done with and then put it aside to be further worked upon later.  Once I have completed the short I have been kicking around a couple of ideas I may work on between working on Wurm's Blood sequel book (not titled yet) or I may work on the sequel depending on my mood at the time.  Well not much more to type so I'll end it here for now.  Hope you look forward to my new book, blog readers, keep an eye out for it in the following months. :D

Finally Decided On a Name

I had been struggling for a name for Chapter 20, though not a hundred percent satisfied with it I finally have it and I'm not going to worry about it until later.  I am nearing ever closer to the ending of this story's first/second draft (not sure whether to call this a first or second draft since I write up the scenes and then my co-author goes over them, editing what I wrote or adding more into the scene if he gets inspired from what I wrote).  Once that is done I am going to order a proof and look for more mistakes or see I can better phrase anything, and after I have done this and my co-author has gone over my corrections to the proof book I will finally have something up for sale again.  I will be glad to finally get this project done as I have some other ideas I would like to work on as well.  Not much more to say so I will end it here.

Part of last night's discussion with Coauthor on Wurm's Blood

I was talking with my coauthor after working on it with him, when I told him that originally due to what the idea behind Eldgrim and Wurm's Blood had been the story had been meant to be a lot darker, especially the ending which has changed because I think I enjoyed my coauthor's idea more then my own, which lightened the original ending.  But he told me that if I had wanted a truly dark ending it would not be the one I described to him, which I will not mention here as it may give away the ending.  Needless to say I will say what ending he had suggested would have been darker but not my own.  He intimated to me to be darker when Dagmar asked for Rambert to fulfill his part as she had done hers he would have simply killed her, releasing her from the Curse and then Eldgrim and Rambert would go to her village and collect their reward for having saved Dagmar.  But of course for that ending to work they'd also have to kill Eckerd as he would not sit idle while Dagmar was murdered.  Which I do have to admit is pretty damn dark. 

Part of the original idea behind Wurm's Blood or at least the character of Eldgrim had been what if someone like me had been born in a world similar to the one in the anime/manga Berserk.  Though in the end the world is not based in the Berserk world but in a roughly German mythological one with a few twists and spins on mythology from other nations/countries.

RECONSTRUCTION OF THE WURM'S BLOOD OUTLINE

I found myself this week discussing things with my co-author, and he brought certain facts to my awareness concerning the book Wurm's Blood.  Namely due to this discussion it is going to be shortened due to certain Character issues that I was not prioritizing properly.  What does this mean?  It means I have only three more chapters (only 2 more if you don't count the chapter I am currently writing) to write up and then the rough draft of it will be finished.  I am going to go through one more stage, which I call the 'proofing' process; where I go in and edit my work into a second draft form (usually by making a proof book on lulu.com for me to red pen/pencil through), but in this case probably a third draft form as my co-author has been editing my works after I write them up.  So I am hoping by this spring if not sooner to have a release date for Wurm's Blood.  My co-author and I have also discussed a second and final book, as realistically we can't see the story being more then two novels, and in truth I had planned on Wurm's Blood being a stand alone and I realized I also enjoy writing in this world with these particular characters, but I just can't see how there could be more then two books in total without destroying the integrity of the work.  Well not more to say on this matter so I'll end it here for now.

Yet Another Update

Just recently finished Chapter 19 of Wurm's Blood and got sort of a start on Chapter 20.  Yay!  Chapter 19 is short but given the subtitle for it of Rambert Rearmed it only makes sense.   Chapter 19 still needs to be edited/gone over by my co-author but for me it's done for now.

Wurm's Blood Update

Not sure how long it's been.  But just posting to say that I finally finished Chapter 18 for Wurm's Blood and have a nice start on the next chapter :D
